1. A horseshoe section was taken on top of the head. | | 1.2 Two narrow crescent shapes were created on either side of the head below the parting and secured. |

1.3 Starting at the neck, the entire un-clipped area was cut scissor-over-comb. | | 1.4 The crescent shape was released on the right side and deep point-cut. This was repeated on the other side. |

1.5 Working on the horseshoe section, a 1in vertical sub-section was taken from the back crown to the front hairline. | | 1.6 Starting at the crown, the shortest point was taken to establish the start of a travelling guideline. Hair was cut at 90 degrees, pivoting around the crown and slide-cut from short to long throughout the top area. |
