The campaign to make state registration for hairdressers mandatory has gained momentum, with a group of delegates invited to 10 Downing Street to discuss the regulation of the hairdressing industry.
Representing the case for state registration were CEO of the Hairdressing Council, Sally Styles; chairman of the Fellowship for British Hairdressing, David Drew; celebrity hairdresser, Lino Carbosiero and council member Alan Richardson.
Mandatory registration was discussed in detail with one of the Prime Minister's senior personal advisors, leaving the delegates feeling positive about a framework to move forward with the cause.
